Over the past seven years, Data Center Knowledge has grown and evolved along with the data center industry. Today we start a new phase of that journey, as we have been acquired by iNET Interactive, a web-centric media company serving special interest communities through prominent online properties, events, and publications.
In a business focused on scalability, joining iNET Interactive allows Data Center Knowledge to scale our mission to keep pace with a rapidly maturing industry. We will become part of a larger platform that iNET Interactive has created to serve the information and education needs of data center professionals. This includes Data Center World and AFCOM, two brands that are familiar to many of our readers as the leading conference and industry association for the data center sector. I'm excited about the opportunities this presents for our readers and the industry. For more details, see today's announcement on the iNET Interactive web site.
Here's what will remain the same: DCK will continue to be your daily source for the most comprehensive news and analysis of the data center industry. I'll be continuing as Editor in Chief, and the rest of the DCK team - including Director of Content Strategy Colleen Miller and Kevin Normandeau, who heads our sales and business development- will also continue with iNET.
The team at iNET Interactive knows Internet infrastructure, and is deeply committed to the data center industry. It has done an impressive job building a network of properties serving the web hosting industry, including The WHIR, Web Hosting Talk and the HostingCon conference. iNET's experience operating a portfolio of specialty media properties will be invaluable in taking Data Center Knowledge to the next level.
It's an exciting time to be in the data center industry. Under iNET Interactive's ownership, Data Center Knowledge will continue to be "all data centers, all the time."
