In its annual technical forum last week, The Green Grid unveiled a new Data Center Maturity Model (DCMM), which presents a holistic approach to data center efficiency, providing clear goals and direction for improving sustainability across all aspects of the data center. The DCMM touches upon the major components of the data center, including power, cooling, compute, storage, and network. End users can benchmark their current performance using the Data Center Maturity Model Equalizer, part of the new offering. In this video, Harkeeret Singh, Global Head of Energy for Technology Operations in Thomson Reuters and Advisory Board member of The Green Grid, discusses the maturity model with the Uptime Institute's Matt Stansberry. This video runs about 10 minutes.
