Designing Digital
Best Practices for Managing Edge and Distributed IT Environments

Date: Thursday, September 19, 2019

Duration: 1 hour
The proliferation of our digital economy has resulted in more connected devices, smarter cities and new requirements around workload and application delivery, in turn driving an explosion of edge and distributed IT environments. According to IDC, by the end of 2019, more than 45 percent of IoT-created data will be stored, processed, analyzed and acted upon close to or at the edge of the network.
At a very high level, edge allows organizations to process data much closer to the source than ever before — a big reason why data center leaders are actively financing and designing consumable edge solutions. But challenges remain. What happens with privacy and security around data at the edge? What if a company loses visibility into critical assets located at the edge? And how does an organization create visibility without introducing greater complexity or fragmentation?
In this webinar, we'll address the critical trends impacting edge and distributed IT environments, including:
How edge is impacting markets and verticals of all shapes and sizes
How organizations are overcoming real-world edge and distributed IT obstacles
What to look for (and look out for) when designing edge and distributed IT
What’s next for data center innovation
