We know none of you would ever place your data center container next to explosives. But managing risk means addressing all kinds of unlikely "what if" scenarios. That's why the folks at Lampertz decided to see how their container offering - known as the Lampertz Outdoor Security Room - would fare in an explosion. This video runs about 30 seconds. Please don't try this at home!
Lampertz isn't the first company to test how its "data center in a box" product would fare in a disaster. Sun Microsystems used a shake table at the University of California, San Diego to see how its Blackbox would fare in an earthquake. Subjecting data center gear to explosive force isn't entirely novel either (see the Gallery of Exploding Servers for more).
