Yet, in this case Coca-Cola Bottling Company decided to build a new data center network that would continue to work with their existing servers and storage as they gradually migrated to a unified fabric for their LAN and SAN networks. By migrating servers to the new design gradually, as equipment ages, leases mature, or the company introduced new applications they were able to minimize expenditures while reaping the rewards of a faster network; increasing available space and power and reducing power cost.
