Call for Papers for O'Reilly Velocity 2011

Velocity, the Web Performance and Operations conference, has issued a call for proposals for speakers at this year's conference. Deadline for submissions is January 11, 2011.

Have you got a great case study on making Internet infrastructure faster and more efficient? Velocity, the Web Performance and Operations conference from O'Reilly Media, is seeking proposals for speaking at the 2011 event. Submissions will be accepted until January 11, 2011.

"We've opened the Call for Participation and are excited to learn what you know and think is important. We're looking for the best and brightest in the web performance and operations community—the known commodities and the undiscovered stars of tomorrow—to share the secrets of your success with hundreds of your peers," according to the event site.

Velocity happens June 14-16, 2011 at the Hyatt Santa Clara in Santa Clara, CA. This year's themes and topics include:

  • NoSQL

  • Mobile performance

  • Effective cloud computing

  • JavaScript speedups

  • TCP, HTTP, and SSL optimizations

  • Metrics and monitoring

  • Impact on the bottom line
