Conference Examines Federal DC Consolidation

IDGA's Data Center Consolidation Summit will convene May 21 - 23 in the Crystal Gateway Marriott, Crystal City, VA.
Recently appointed Federal CIO Steven VanRoekel has “moved the goalposts”, increasing the scope of the federal government data center consolidation efforts.
IDGA's Data Center Consolidation Summit is your opportunity to ascertain the direction of current and future efforts in consolidation and optimization of data center resources. Organizations need consistent definitions and metrics to zero in on consolidation resources and budget opportunities, according to IDGA.
The conference features an in-depth focus day on cyber security, which will provide a full-spectrum picture of some of the most pressing issues within the cyber realm today. Presenters include: Jeff Reich, CISSP, CHS-III, Director of Operations, Institute for Cyber Security, University of Texas at San Antonio; John Bumgarner, Chief Technology Officer, U.S. Cyber Consequences Unit; and Ron Ross, Computer Security Division, Information Technology Laboratory, NIST.
The main conference includes speakers from the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB), U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Commerce, and Los Alamos National Laboratory.
