Continuum Colo Expands in Chicago

Chicago area colocation provider Continuum Data Centers has completion of the second phase of its Lombard data center facility, the company said today. The expansion came online just as Continuum had reached capacity in their initial stage, less than a year after opening in August 2009.

The expansion adds 14,000 square feet of usable data center space, which Continuum says will meet strong client demand in the suburban Chicago market for enterprise colocation.

"We continue to see small and medium sized organizations struggling with downsized IT budgets, yet a growing demand for outsourcing and expanding their data center needs," said Tom Chaffin, Managing Partner of Continuum Data Centers. "It’s our philosophy to provide these organizations an enterprise level data center environment within their smaller colocation budgeting requirements."

The management team at Continuum Data Centers previously developed Stargate’s 86,000 square foot data center in Oak Brook, Ill. in 2007, which was acquired by Latisys in August 2008. This team has been providing colocation services to small, medium and Fortune 1000 companies for more than 10 years.
