One of the industry's top conferences returns to New York on March 28th, when DatacenterDynamics New York 2006 will be held at The Hilton New York - Avenue of the Americas. This is the fourth annual DatacenterDynamics event in New York, and with all signs pointing to a continuing boom in the data center industry, New York will undoubtedly be at the forefront of growth and innovation in this market. This year's schedule has been specifically tailored to debate all the important questions in 2006.
Data Center Knowledge is a media sponsor for this event, and will bring you regular updates on the conference and scheduled sessions. The audience is expected to include senior representatives of the financial sector and other Fortune 500 companies operating in the Metro NYC area, as seen in the list of 2005 attendees (PDF).
The speaker schedule includes 10 main sessions and 12 vendor-led solution seminars. Scheduled sessions present the latest perspective on the top issues confronting data center operators in 2006, including power and cooling trends, technical standards and best practices, the latest on cable management, extreme density installations and mission critical monitoring. It's a cutting-edge schedule that offers something for all data center operators seeking to improve availability and manage costs.
This year's schedule will follow a two-track model, offering delegates the ability to move between two content streams in the morning, and two content streams in the afternoon. The four focus areas include:
1. Maximizing IT and Facilities Dialogue: 2006 & beyond (Morning)
2. Bridging the 'Power Gap' (Morning)
3. The modeling challenge for next-generation data centers (Afternoon)
4. 'Automating-out' Failure (Afternoon)
The infrastructure exposition, which runs alongside the conference, brings together many of the data center infrastructure vendors and services companies. Many exhibitors will have their equipment on hand for demonstration purposes, providing delegates with an opportunity to see these technologies first hand rather than in a brochure. Last year's expo featured 21 of the most important solution providers to the industry, allowing delegates to save time by meeting a broad range of suppliers at a single event.
Since its inception in 2002, DatacenterDynamics has become the leading gathering of data center professionals in many of the world's most important business cities. More than 1,900 industry professionals attended a DatacenterDynamics conference in 2005, which included events in London, San Francisco, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Chicago and Hong Kong. More than 3,000 are expected for this year's schedule, which includes the 2005 locations along with first-year events in Mumbai, Singapore, Sydney, Frankfurt, Dallas and Dubai.
DatacenterDynamics says it employs a direct-marketing strategy at each of its locations to make sure all major players in the market are aware of the event, and what they can expect to gain from their attendance. "This investment ensures the quality of delegate for which DatacenterDynamics is globally recognized," the company notes.
For more information please visit the DatacenterDynamics web site. The early bird rate of $395 is available until Feb. 28. For questions about delegate registration, contact Sandra Levin. For speaking opportunities, the contact is George Rockett, while Dan Scarbrough is the contact for sponsorship opportunities.
