At CoreLink, Duckett Departs, Weisberger Joins as CTO - CoreLink Data Center announced the resignation of its President and COO, Michael Duckett, who has left the company to pursue other business opportunities. The company's board of directors has appointed Jason Weisberger to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Weisberger joins CoreLink from IPG/MediaBrands, where he served as COO, and also served as COO at Federated Media Publishing. Weisberger will continue to serve as publisher of Boing Boing, the Web's leading independent voice on Internet culture and esoterica, "With broad network engineering, as well as an operations- and product-related background, Jason Weisberger as CTO will further strengthen CoreLink's service offerings as our company experiences continued growth as a provider of data center hosting and managed services," said Charles Picasso, CoreLink Chairman and CEO. "We are excited to have Jason join CoreLink to help lead in these efforts."
ScienceLogic Names Antonio Piraino as CTO - ScienceLogic,., a provider of IT operations and cloud management solutions, today announced the hiring of Antonio Piraino as chief technology officer (CTO). Piraino is known in the data center industry from his work as research director for Tier1 Research, a division of The 451 Group, where he focused on data center, hosting and cloud computing technology. Piraino will guide ScienceLogic’s IT management vision and product strategy as well elevate the company’s influence with service provider, enterprise and federal customers. “Antonio is an ideal addition to our executive team because he embodies the expertise, spirit and focus on service provider and enterprise IT management needs that have permeated the ScienceLogic culture since our founding,” said David Link, ScienceLogic CEO.
IO Hires DOD Exec Butler to Head Government Strategies - IO said Tuesday that it has appointed Bob Butler as Vice President of Government Strategies."The need for consolidation has government organizations viewing data centers as hardware and software, just like other IT purchases," said Anthony J. D'Ambrosi, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of IO. "With more than three decades experience in helping government use IT strategically, Bob Butler is a great addition as IO works to help generate information infrastructure savings and efficiencies that could not previously be achieved." Butler brings to IO over 32 years of multinational experience spanning Defense, Intelligence, National Security and Information Technology positions.
