Red ink sinks green data centre - An unexpected withdrawal of offshore investment in Melbourne’s multi-million dollar "green" data centre facility ADX1, has plunged the project into administration. Insolvency specialists Sellers Muldoon Benton have been appointed administrators on to the start-up data centre, which ceased operations in February. The company, which was launched last October, had secured 6,000 square metres of space in Port Melbourne and was promising carbon friendly services including advanced managed cloud solutions. Telehouse Data Center opens in Istanbul - Telehouse, a leading provider of global data centres and managed ICT services, today announced the opening of its new Datacenter in Istanbul/Turkey in partnership with local telecommunications/system integrator company Teknotel Telekomünikasyon. Telehouse Istanbul will be operational from March 2011 and is Telehouse’s first data center operation in the region. Press release.
Web Host INetU Expands with Amsterdam Data Center - Managed hosting and cloud provider INetU announced on Friday it has expanded international with the launch of its hosting services in an Amsterdam-based data center, designed for international clients. INetU says the Amsterdam data center allows the company to offer one-stop management, EU compliance, and local hosting for European clients.
NEXTDC Melbourne Project Gets Go-ahead - Fledgling Australian data centre operator NEXTDC has received development approval for its proposed 'M1' data centre. The Melbourne data centre is to be constructed in Port Melbourne. The company previously announced that Harbour MSP will be its first Melbourne tenant. From IT Wire.
