Infinity to Build 4 Megawatt Data Center for C&W

Infinity has concluded an agreement with Cable & Wireless Worldwide (C&W) to provide a new 4.3 megawatt data centre facility at a secure site in the southeast of England.

Infinity has concluded an agreement with Cable & Wireless Worldwide (C&W) to provide a new 4.3 megawatt data centre facility at a secure site in the southeast of England. The new Tier III certified facility will ensure that C&W can support the increasing demands from clients for secure, robust and reliable hosting and shared services solutions. The data center will provide a 25 percent expansion in C&W’s data hosting capacity.

"Data hosting is one of our critical areas of focus for the near future and will be a vital part of our return to growth," said Gavin Darby, chief executive, Cable & Wireless Worldwide. "This announcement highlights the details of the plans we outlined in November last year. I believe that we are shaping our business to better serve our customers and secure our position in this growing market."
