UK managed hosting provider iomart Group has completed the second phase of its expansion at its data center at Spectrum House Maidenhead. The expansion provides iomart with a further 650 square meters (7,000 square feet) of new data space, enough room for an additional 300 high density racks. It increases the facility’s total data centre area to more than 1,300 square meters (14,000 square feet). Spectrum House is redundantly connected to iomart’s UK network of four data centers. Here's a video tour of the new expansion. This video runs about 1 minute, 30 seconds.

"Spectrum House has provided our clients with exceptional service since we opened the facility in early 2009, but we have quickly reached a stage where we needed to expand to meet the Group’s current and future customer growth needs," said Ed Butler, Director of iomart's RapidSwitch unit, who directed the expansion. iomart Group now offers over 4,500 square meters (48,000 square feet) of data centre space across its Maidenhead, Glasgow, London, Nottingham and Leicester sites.
