It's been a busy week for product announcements targeting the data center. Here's a roundup of a few new offerings of interest, with links:
Verari Systems introduced its BladeRack 2 XM computing platform, the company's densest platform yet with support for 96 blades and 768 processing cores per platform. Verari develops energy efficient data center and desktop consolidation platforms using independent blade-based computing and storage solutions.
Stratavia, which makes data center automation software for Fortune 1000 organizations, announced Data Palette 5.0, which introduces an AJAX-based user interface. Data Palette automates server provisioning and management of virtualized assets.
Avocent Corporation (AVCT) has introduced the ACS 6000 series of console servers, which are designed to help data center managers to connect and manage infrastructure more quickly.
RF Code, Inc., a maker of software for real-time physical asset tracking, has announced the availability of its Data Center Pilot Program, which lets data center managers evaluate the company's RFID-based solution for tracking rack-based assets. The program features a no-cost, 45-day trial period.
