LiquidWeb Plans 90,000 SF Data Center

LiquidWeb has unveiled plans for an $80 million, 90,000 square foot data center near Lansing, Michigan.

Michigan hosting provider LiquidWeb today unveiled plans for a 90,000 square foot data center near Lansing, which will also serve as the growing company's headquarters. Officials of LiquidWeb say the facility in Delta Township, Mich. will be an $80 million project and may eventually employ as many as 600 workers.

Local officials from the Lansing area joined LiquidWeb CEO Matthew Hill today for a groundbreaking ceremony. When complete, Data Center 3 will support 25,000 new customer servers in 50,000 square feet of premium data center space and 600 support engineers in 40,000 square feet of new office space.

Liquid Web Inc. is a privately held company founded in 1997, and already owns and operates two data center facilities in Lansing, Michigan. The company has 140 full-time employees to service 12,000 clients in over 100 countries.
