Mark Monroe Joins DLB Associates
Industry veteran Mark Monroe, former Executive Director of the Green Grid, has been appointed Chief Technology Officer and VP at data center design firm DLB Associates, the company said this week.

Industry veteran Mark Monroe, former Executive Director of the Green Grid, has been appointed Chief Technology Officer and VP at data center design firm DLB Associates, the company said this week.
DLB provides design, commissioning and operations support services for a range of data center clients. The company has worked on data center campuses totaling more than 4 gigawatts of critical IT power and 16 million square feet of raised floor technical space, including eight of the largest Google data center campuses worldwide.
Monroe most recently served as founder and President of Energetic Consulting, Inc., a successful consulting business centering on data center energy efficiency, renewable energy and IT consulting. He also spent 17 years in a range of leadership positions at Sun Microsystems, Inc. including several director roles in IT operations, cloud computing, Eco responsibility, and software development.
Monroe's appointment culminates an exhaustive search by DLB for a candidate with an engineering background thaT is well versed in data center design, construction, and operation as well as in IT hardware and software technologies.
