Digital Realty Trust (DLR) has announced two additional leases of space through its Turn-Key Datacenter space initiative, including a 15,000 square foot lease with Net2Ez in Los Angeles and another with BT (British Telecom) at an undisclosed site. On Monday, Digital Realty announced that Cogent (CCOI) had leased turnkey space in its building in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The lease in Digital Realty Trust's 600 West 7th Street facility in Los Angeles provides Net2EZ, a regional colocation provider, with 15,000 square feet of raised floor space in Suite 550 of the building as well as office space in Suite 560. Located in the central business district of downtown Los Angeles, 600 West 7th Street is a 450,000 square foot property featuring advanced telecom and data center infrastructure. It is one of 10 sites around the country where Digital Realty built out undeveloped space for its Turn-Key Datacenter program, allowing it to market "move-in ready" finished space rather than shell space.
"The facility at 600 West 7th Street offers us an ideal solution in an ideal location with both office and datacenter space that has all of the technical capabilities to match our requirements," said Pervez Delawalla, co-founder and CEO of Net2EZ. "The facility will also be able to accommodate our needs in the future as our company continues to grow."
Digital Realty also said that BT has signed a lease agreement to establish a new data center in one of its turn-key facilities, but didn't identify the location or square footage of the lease.
