New Jersey colocation provider Net Access has named industry veteran Raul Martynek as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer. Martynek succeeds Blake Ellman, who has served as the company’s CEO and co-founder since 1995 and will transition into a new role as the company’s Chief Technology Officer, heading up product development.

“The time was right to bring on someone from the outside and make the transition from a founder run company to an executive with a diverse background in growing technology businesses," said Ellman. "Raul has a proven track record of success in our industry and we are confident that under his leadership Net Access will continue to the next stage of growth and development. My passion when I started this company was working with new technology, and by bringing on Raul, I’m excited to be able to focus 100 percent of my time towards developing and managing our products and services portfolio which is crucial to our continued long term success."

Martynek was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of Voxel, a New York managed hosting company that was acquired by Internap in January 2012. Prior to Voxel, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Dublin-based Smart Telecom, and CEO of InfoHighway Communications and Eureka Networks.

“I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to join the Net Access team," said Martynek. "They have built a tremendous platform and have a very strong presence in one of the most important regions of the country. I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to leverage my experiences to grow our sales and expand the services portfolio to the broader NY/NJ enterprise marketplace.”

Net Access operates three data centers in Morris County, New Jersey, including two facilities in Parsippany and one in Cedar Knolls. The company recently undertook an expansion of its Parisppany II data center, which will double in size to 120,000 square feet, enough space to house an additional 1,500 cabinets of IT gear.

“The advanced technology and efficiency of the data centers we have developed in New Jersey are unmatched within the region and with Raul joining the team we are primed for explosive growth.” said Alex Rubenstein, Co-Founder and COO of Net Access.
