This week we're adding a new feature to Data Center Knowledge: a dedicated channel for videos about the data center industry. Daily news and analysis will continue to be our primary focus. But online video has become a more important medium for the companies we cover, and we'll be sharing videos that help our readers understand industry developments. These videos will come primarily from third parties, although we may also look for opportunities to include video in our reporting as appropriate.
There are a growing number of videos that provide insight into various aspects of the data center industry. We've identified many of these that we'll be sharing, and also welcome pointers to relevant video content from providers and our readers. Here are our admittedly broad criteria for considering video suggestions:
Videos should be currently available on the Web and able to be embedded in third-party sites. This includes videos posted to major online video hubs including YouTube, Google Video, Metacafe, Revver or PodTech.
We'll only consider videos in which the participants intend the information to be published. That could include videos from conferences, data center tours, informational videos about products or services, or media coverage. Any videos for which copyright and posting permission are unclear will not be considered.
If you have submissions, please e-mail us and share them.
