Perot Systems Opens Kentucky Data Center

Perot Systems plans to open a 20,000 square foot data center in Florence, Kentucky that will employ more than 70 workers, according to local media reports. Perot Systems (PER) is based in Plano, Texas and named for former presidential candidate H. Ross Perot, a pioneer of the technology-outsourcing sector. He founded Perot Systems in 1988.

"What's going to occur from this facility is state-of-the-art technology hosting," said Mike McClaskey, Perot's vice president of infrastructure solutions and chief information officer, told the Cincinnati Enquirer. The facility's anchor clent will be Cincinnati-based Catholic Healthcare Partners, which owns more than two dozen of hospital, mostly in Ohio.
