RCN Metro Expands at 111 8th Avenue

RCN Metro Optical Networks has expanded its colocation facility located at 111 8th Avenue, the Manhattan carrier hotel that is one of the most telecom intensive location on the East Coast.

RCN Metro Optical Networks has expanded its colocation facility located at 111 8th Avenue, the Manhattan carrier hotel that is one of the most telecom intensive location on the East Coast. RCN Metro added cabinet and power capacity to support continued demand from its customers, the company said. RCN Metro has 24 colocation facilities throughout its footprint including a high-density colocation facility located at 165 Halsey Street in Newark, N.J.

"Three of the most critical factors in the selection of a colocation facility are location, power and cooling systems - our 111 8th Avenue facility delivers the very best in each of these areas," said Felipe Alvarez, President, RCN Metro.

RCN Metro deploys custom connectivity solutions to service providers as well as companies in the finance, hospitality, media, government, health care and education industries. RCN Metro is a wholly owned division of RCN Corporation.
