Keynote Systems Expands With AiNET in DC Area - Keynote Systems has selected AiNET as a data center colocation and Internet connectivity provider. This customer win follows just days after the announcement of the Washington, DC region’s largest data center, CyberNAP. Keynote Systems, based in San Mateo, CA, is a global leader in Internet, mobile cloud testing and monitoring. AiNET is an innovative leader in design, construction, operations, and technology solutions for Internet data centers and fiber optic networks. Expanding its presence in the Washington, DC region, Keynote evaluated a number of locations and providers. The final selection of AiNET was made based upon better reliability, flexibility, connectivity options, support, and an overall superior value proposition.
Immedion Expands Asheville Facilty - Immedion, a regional provider of dedicated data center, colocation, cloud hosting, and managed services has announced the expansion of their Asheville, NC facility. Immedion purchased the Asheville data center in 2011 making it their third office location in addition to their Greenville and Columbia facilities. Immedion is currently building a fourth data center in Charleston, SC. The expansion of the Asheville office includes additional floor space, an enhanced network, a customer work area and meeting space as well as office space and an improved Network Operations Control room. Working with Asheville based H&M Constructors and a handful of other local suppliers, Immedion plans to complete their building project in May.
CoreLink Will Provide Hosting to Virsage Solutions - CoreLink Data Center will provide hosting services and support to Virsage Solutions, which provides cloud-based Desktop as a Service (DaaS) and online data protection offerings to small- and medium-sized businesses. Virsage serves clients in the manufacturing, hospitality, finance, banking, retail, software and insurance industries, among others. Company officials touring CoreLink facilities were particularly impressed with the company's managed security and power offerings, as well as its data center cooling capabilities.
Brookfield Completes NJ Renovation - Brookfield announced today that it has completed an extensive lobby renovation at 200 Convergence Way, part of its 5-building, 650,000-square-foot, Convergence technology and office campus in Whippany, N.J. The property was previously a data center for Bear Stearns. The upgrades involved modernizing and expanding the lobby by 30 percent and opening up the two-story atrium. The two ground-floor office suites now have direct access from the lobby, with onsite management and leasing office.
