SunGard selected by DundeeWealth. SunGard Availability Services announced that it has been selected by Dundee Wealth Inc., a Canadian-owned wealth management comapny to provide managed services and workforce continuity. "SunGard crafted a tailored solution for DundeeWealth, specifically designed to boost resiliency and system uptime by leveraging economies of scale and specialized availability expertise. The superior quality of their data centers combined with their proficiency in the domain will help facilitate the continuity of our business processes," said To Anh Tran, senior vice president of Business Transformation and Technology at DundeeWealth. The solution will assist Dundee Wealth with information availability, regulatory compliance and security needs with added efficiency.
XO expands in Atlanta. XO Communications (XOHO) announced an expansion of its metro network presence in the Atlanta metropolitan market. Adding to their 19,000 mile nationwide network XO will expand across the northern and southern suburbs of Atlanta in Duluth, Tucker and East Point, as well as establish direct fiber access to two new data centers in Suwanee and Norcross. “The Atlanta metropolitan area is home to many of the nation’s largest corporations which operate across the metro area as well as nationally and internationally. With our extensive network reach and broad portfolio of services, XO Communications is uniquely positioned as the leading competitive alternative for businesses’ communications and network needs," said Josh Brant, general manager for Georgia and North Carolina markets at XO Communications.
Netmagic LEED data center in India. India's managed IT hosting provider Netmagic announced that it has been recognized as India's first Gold rated data center under the LEED Commercial Interior (CI) program of US Green Building Council. Some of the sustainable features incorporated include site ecology, rain water harvesting, energy meters, reflective roof paint, and reducing fossil fuel utilization and pollution by providing carpool facilities, bicycles and electric vehicle charging facilities. "We are committed towards reducing carbon footprints across our data centers and offices in Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore and reduce the environmental impact” said Sharad Sanghi, CEO and MD of Netmagic Solutions Private Limited.
DataSite selected by 21st Century Oncology. DataSite Orlando announced that they have been selected by 21st Century Oncology to replace their in-house server vault. Making the move to DataSite will allow 21st Century Oncology to grow its business while protecting its critical IT systems along Florida's Gulf coast. “Each of our clients comes to us with different needs and requirements,” said Rob Wilson, Director of Sales and Marketing for DataSite Orlando. “As a premier, world class data center, DataSite Orlando has the size, services, and flexibility to provide customized solutions for each client.”
