Here’s our review of some of this week’s noteworthy links for the data center industry:

Terremark Launches Enterprise Cloud Private Edition. Terremark, a Verizon Company, is launching Enterprise Cloud Private Edition, a solution built atop Terremark’s Enterprise Cloud but designed as a single-tenant environment to meet the security compliance requirements of many large enterprises and government agencies.Enterprise Cloud Private Edition is an extension of the company’s hybrid cloud strategy, offering customers the capability of migrating application workloads between traditional and cloud environments – including their own dedicated infrastructure, Terremark’s cloud platforms, and cloud resources offered by other providers – in a seamless and secure way. "Our Private Edition solution is designed to meet the strong customer demand we’ve seen for the agility, cost efficiencies and flexibility of cloud computing, delivered in a singletenant, dedicated environment," said Ellen Rubin, Terremark’s vice president of Cloud Products.

IO selected by BookIt.com.  IO announced that it has been awarded a contract with BookIt.com, a premier online travel company. From its Phoenix data center IO will provide BookIt.com with its Data Center as a Service (DCaaS) through its modular technology platform IO.Anywhere. "We understand the value of incorporating technology to optimize business. Our very livelihood depends on it, especially now as travelers spend a significant amount of time researching travel to find the best deals, we need a data center that allows us the flexibility to grow quickly," said Iain Saxton – VP Technology at BookIt.com. "IO.Anywhere delivers a rapidly scalable, always-on technology solution that traditional colocation providers just don't measure up to in both price and performance."

PhoenixNAP selected by Micro Symplex.  PhoenixNAP announced that Micro Symplex, a managed service provider, has selected the data center for its IT needs. Micro Symplex will run various utilities the company relies on out of Phoenix NAP along with offering a multitude of hosted solutions, enabling its customers to host all of their servers, desktops, and critical applications within the Micro Symplex Private Cloud. "We are excited to welcome Micro Symplex to Phoenix NAP," said Ian McClarty, president of Phoenix NAP. "The company's focus on providing the latest in IT technology through high quality services and strong support is parallel to what Phoenix NAP strives to do and we look forward to establishing a long lasting relationship with them."
