State of the Data Center 2020: Virtual Keynote
Data Center World has been moved to August, but that doesn’t mean we can’t do the keynote now!
As you can see on our homepage, we here at DCK have been filling our time between babysitting, keeping the older kids on schedule with their online classes, the usual household chores, and processing the constant stream of bad news by documenting to the best of our ability the impact this pandemic has been having on the industry we care about so deeply.
The impact has been huge already, and no-one knows what’s yet to come, but the data center industry and the broader internet ecosystem’s resilience that’s been on display in recent weeks has been one of the very few good stories out there. It humbles us, makes us proud to have the opportunity to tell this story, and gives us hope.
Like most other events, Data Center World, our big annual industry get-together that was originally scheduled to take place in March in San Antonio, has been postponed until August. But we felt it important to share with you the key content we had planned for the show sooner. On Wednesday April 15, Bill Kleyman, EVP of Digital Solutions at Switch, will share highlights from our highly anticipated annual AFCOM State of the Data Center report in a virtual keynote. (AFCOM, Data Center World, and DCK are all part of the Informa Tech family of brands.)
If you’re interested in the topics of data center management, technical infrastructure strategy, and the latest trends in IT, both from tech and business perspectives – in other words, all the topics we talk about on DCK daily – you’ll find this report essential.
We’ll be tuning in, and we hope you will too. And, of course, we hope you will also join us in person at Data Center World in August!
