Test-Driving A 3D Virtual Data Center Model
Future Facilities' sales manager Christian Pastrana and application engineer Tom Wu demonstrate on this video how the Future Facilities software can help maximize data center capacity.

If you had a 3D model of your data center that could provide a color-coded guide to the temperature and power use in your data center, would it be easier to figure out where to deploy new capacity? That was the question the team from Future Facilities North America (FFNA) put to participants at the recent Data Center World Fall 2012 conference. San Jose, California-based FFNA offered visitors to its booth in the expo hall the opportunity to virtually model a data center with FFNA's data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software. Asking the data center pros, "Do you have what it takes to keep your data center capacity safe?" the team showed how their product could assist managers in planning and maintaining a data center, and getting the most capacity out of their facility. Data Center Knowledge caught up with sales manager Christian Pastrana and application engineer Tom Wu, who provided a demonstration of how the Future Facilities software can help maximize data center capacity. This video runs about 5 minutes.
In other news, Future Facilities announced this week the opening of new offices in Manhattan and San Diego.
