The team at Pipe Networks has opened its DC3 data center in Brisbane, just 66 days after commencing its effor to build the data center in just 60 days, Pipe's Malcolm Thompson reports in our comments. The work was largely finished on June 15, the 60th day. Pipe Networks put the entire 60-day buildout effort online, providing daily updates via a blog, a live webcam of the data center in progress and a checklist of key items and their stage of completion.

The Pipe Networks project was also discussed on Slashdot and featured on ComputerWorld.
