RF Code is an Austin, Texas company that provides products for tracking and managing data center equipment using radio frequency ID (RFID). In this video, Jonathan Luce of RF Code demonstrates how data center operators can use RFID tags to create a "wire-free" infrastructure tracking system. Small RFID tags are attached to servers and racks, gather data on the location of the equipment and wirelessly transmit the data to a reporting system. The RFID system can be used to track inventory and monitor environmental conditions in a rack. This video runs about 3 minutes.
