ViaWest Opens Doors at Minnesota Data Center

Colocation and managed services provider ViaWest broke out the giant scissors this week as it opened the doors on its newest data center in the Minneapolis market in Chaska, Minnesota.  The new facility will offer  70,000 square feet of raised floor space and 9 megawatts of power capacity. The company expects the data center to achieve a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) rating of 1.4, and will seek Tier IV design certification from the Uptime Institute.

ViaWest marked the launch of its newest data center with a grand opening celebration attended by Katie Clark Sieben, Commissioner of the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) for Minnesota.
