Here’s a roundup of some of this week’s headlines from the cloud computing sector:
Caringo enables three different cloud storage services. Caringo announced that three organizations have recently adopted the Caringo Object Storage Platform powered by CAStor to provide cloud storage services targeted towards the archiving, medical and real estate industries. A new digital archiving cloud service from DiVault uses Caringo's object storage software to enable massive scalability and future-proof accessibility of unstructured data. PeakeSecure is a medical cloud storage service built on CAStor and has the capacity to become the central, secure storage repository of digital records for 330 million people across the United States. A collaboration in the Netherlands for Nederlandse Vereniging van Makelaars uses CAStor as the foundation of an online repository of real estate images and transactions from 1985 to present."Our platform is the ideal solution for IT departments and service providers in any industry looking for a solid foundation for their cloud storage services," said Mark Goros, Chief Executive Officer at Caringo. "While all three services we highlighted are targeted at different markets they all benefit from the scalability, ease of management, data protection and cost effectiveness our object storage software delivers."
Nimsoft selected by P2J Asia Tech. Nimsoft announced that P2J Asia Tech, a Malaysian services provider, will use Nimsoft Unified Manager to monitor and measure the performance of its clients’ IT environments to support its delivery of IT as a cloud-based service. Nimsoft provides visibility into diverse infrastructures via integrated dashboards, enabling P2J Asia Tech to better understand the user experience, establish and meet service-level agreements, proactively detect issues and quickly resolve problems.“Nimsoft allows solution providers like P2J Asia Tech to improve their competitive position by cost-effectively delivering comprehensive, highly reliable cloud offerings to clients,” said Chris O’Malley, Nimsoft CEO. “With Nimsoft Unified Manager, P2J Asia Tech will gain broader visibility into their clients’ IT infrastructures so it can consistently meet or exceed client service-level expectations.”
WePay selects Layered Tech cloud services. Layered Technologies announced that payment services provider WePay has chosen Layered Tech’s PCI-compliant cloud services to support its online payment platform. WePay chose Layered Tech’s compliant cloud solution because the company actively manages the IT controls for PCI-DSS, and the recently added Compliance Guarantee for PCI-DSS and HIPAA. "Layered Tech is committed to supporting a combination of full compliance management along with managing customers’ mission-critical Web applications, so our customers can focus on growing their business," said Layered Tech President Brad Hokamp. "Our compliant cloud services platform supports WePay in providing a high performance and safe way for its users to collect payments online."
