CA Cloud selected by Hosting Ireland. CA Technologies (CA) announced that Hosting Ireland, one of Ireland’s leading domain name and web hosting companies, has selected the CA AppLogic turnkey cloud computing platform as the basis for delivering cloud services to new and existing customers. Hosting Ireland will begin with offering Cloud Servers and a range of other cloud services, and move on to a Virtual Data Center solution next year. “We chose the CA AppLogic platform because it can streamline customers’ movement to the cloud, accelerating their time to market and lowering their cost for deploying new applications,” said Jonathan Bate, managing director, Hosting Ireland. “The secure, highly available and cost effective solution will enable customers to compose and deploy complex applications on demand, in a matter of hours instead of days or months. Our new online configuration tool means customers can configure a cloud server quickly and easily by selecting central processing units, random access memory and disk space simultaneously.” CA also announced that Radix Technologies has selected AppLogic to deploy its turnkey cloud platform across the company’s operations in Europe.
SOASTA teams with Appcelerator. Cloud and mobile testing provider SOASTA announced support for Appcelerator’s Titanium 2.0 platform.
