Mirantis, which specializes in helping companies stand up private OpenStack clouds in their data centers, has partnered with system integrator FusionStorm, which will now provide Mirantis's OpenStack appliances to its customers. The appliances combine open source OpenStack software packaged by Mirantis and its Unlocked Appliances, which consist of Dell servers and Juniper switches.

FusionStorm and Mirantis have also joined one another's channel partner programs.

Mirantis said FusionStorm's engineering, deployment, and support services will make it easier for enterprises to buy and use private OpenStack cloud infrastructure.

"Enterprises around the world are evaluating OpenStack, but for some, the barrier to entry is too high," Mirantis director of solutions marketing Jim Sangster said in a statement. "They need a turnkey solution that will be up and running in days, and reliable support for day-two operations."
