Cloud computing service provider Horizon Data Center Solutions said today that it has changed its name to Vazata and launched a new web site at www.vazata.com. The company said the change would more accurately reflect its offering and future vision.

"We’re excited to announce our new name: Vazata," said CEO Lance Black, CEO. "We’ve been rapidly evolving the business well beyond our early days as a traditional colocation provider. Our new identity includes the tagline, ‘Taking Colo to the Cloud.’  We feel this better articulates our full value proposition and how we define our mission moving forward. We still operate three Tier III data centers, and colocation remains a solution within our core offering, but we’ve also fully developed our vStructure platform and materially expanded the scope of what we do."

The services offered by Vazata are focused on providing customers with resources and capabilities to provide security, stability and scalability for mission critical applications and IT operations.
