Phoenix NAP, which provides data center and network access point services, said today that Virtuon, Inc., a cloud services provider, has selected its Phoenix facility to house its IT infrastructure. Virtuon cited the network performance Phoenix NAP provides as a significant motivating factor in its decision.
“Organizations are rolling out tablet devices as a productivity tool and our users require reliable low-latency connectivity to our vPresence service,” said Forrest Blair, CEO of Virtuon. “In addition, our international hubs need a reliable quality-of-service to our master hub here in Phoenix and Phoenix NAP was our first choice.”
"Having a top cloud services provider like Virtuon in our data center is somewhat indicative of how the market is moving more toward virtualized computing solutions," said Ian McClarty, president of Phoenix NAP. "What can sometimes be overlooked is even clouds need a quality physical infrastructure, and we are thrilled to provide that for Virtuon and its customer base."
