It looks like industry executive Emil Sayegh has moved to HP to help it sell to the cloud computing sector. Sayegh was previously general manager of the Rackspace Cloud, where he was among the evangelists for the company's vision for cloud platforms as a transformative force in the hosting industry.

Sayegh's job change was revealed in a Wall Street Journal story outlining the priorities of new HP CEO Leo Apotheker, which included boosting HP's sales of hardware and services to companies building cloud platforms. "H-P recently hired Emil Sayegh, formerly of Rackspace Hosting Inc., as vice president of marketing for cloud services to help oversee these efforts," the Journal reports. Rackspace appears to have a deep bench in management of its cloud operation, where Lew Moorman is president.
