As enterprises begin to evaluate cloud computing, some are asking if the current model of commodity servers and virtualization meets their needs. The potential for custom clouds for industry verticals is the focus of a panel at Structure 09: Put Cloud Computing to Work, a conference by the GigaOm Network set for June 25 at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco.
