Last week I had the chance to sit in on several sessions at "Computing in the Cloud," an excellent workshop organized by the Center for Information Technology Policy at Princeton University. I wrote about the panel on future trends in cloud-based apps (including a greater emphasis on SLAs and reliability), but that only touched a fraction of the issues addressed at the event.
Princeton has now placed full-length videos of the entire conference online at YouTube. Here are links to each of the panels and presentations:
Introduction to Cloud Computing, Ed Felten (38 mins.)
Panel: Possession and Ownership of Data (1 hour, 30 mins.)
Panel: Security and Risk in the Cloud (1 hour, 24 mins.)
Princeton University Research Presentation (38 mins.)
Panel: Civics in the Cloud (1 hour, 26 mins.)
Panel: What's Next? (1 hour, 33 mins.)
The presentations run more than seven hours, so it's a lot to digest. But if any of these topics are of interest, you may want to check them out as time allows.
