Yahoo Turning to AOL As White Knight?

There are reports that Yahoo is seeking to restart merger talks with AOL, and that Salesforce may be shopping itself to Oracle.

Two updates on the takeover front that could have implications for the data center industry:

The Time of London is reporting that Yahoo! is seeking to restart merger talks with AOL as a means of defending itself against the $45 billion bid approach from Microsoft.

This weekend's rumor mill also featured reports that Salesforce.com may be shopping itself to Oracle for $75 a share. Salesforce Times has links to all the blogospheric conjecture on this report. As always, take both of these with a liberal helping of salt.
