You can't manage what you don't measure. Wireless sensors provide a way for data center managers to begin collecting data on exisitng facilities. In this presentation at DataCenterDynamics San Francisco in July, Dale Sartor from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory discusses the implementation of a wireless monitoring system using sensors from SynapSense. LBNL's 700-point system measures temperature, humidity and under-floor pressure. Sartor also discusses other best practices at LBNL in this 7 minute, 15 second video.
