Digital Realty Trust completes 365 Main acquisition. Digital Realty Trust (DLR) announced it has completed the acquisition of a five-property data center portfolio located in California, Arizona and Virginia, referred to as the Rockwood Capital/365 Main Portfolio. The 919,000 square foot, $725 million portfolio, including 365 Main in San Francisco was announced June 2, 2010. "We are very pleased to announce the completion of this acquisition, which further demonstrates our ability to negotiate and close complex transactions that result in attractive risk-adjusted returns for our shareholders," commented Michael F. Foust, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Realty Trust. "We believe that the addition of these high quality facilities to our existing portfolio along with many new customer relationships will continue to add value to the Company over the long term."
Interxion partners with ControlCircle. Interxion announced that it has partnered with ControlCircle, a global provider of design, implementation and outsourced managed services of complex IT infrastructures. With customers including large online businesses and blue-chip companies the agreement will allow ControlCircle to deliver enhanced colocation data center packages where security, infrastructure and availability are critical to their business. Damian Milkins, CEO at ControlCircle, said: “Interxion’s proximity to the London and Paris markets and their dedicated capital markets infrastructure will help us give our customers a competitive edge."
Layered Tech selected by KANA Software. Layered Technologies announced that it will provide KANA Software, Inc., with virtual private data centers (VPDCs), managed services and disaster recovery solutions to support KANA's enterprise customers worldwide. “It was essential that we find an infrastructure provider capable of supporting KANA’s growth on both sides of the Atlantic, while providing the cloud infrastructure required to meet our customers’ highest security and disaster recovery requirements. We chose Layered Tech because they are the only provider with both the expertise and internationally based data centers needed to provide our clients with customer service applications on highly scalable and reliable infrastructure,” said Stuart Mills, vice president of International Global Consulting at KANA.The agreement will permit ControlCircle to deliver enhanced colocation data centre packages to customers where security, infrastructure and availability are critical to their business.
