New CEOs for Active Power, SGI
On the executive front, Active Power (ACPW) named Doug Milner as president and chief executive officer, while SGI announced Jorge Luis Titinger as its president and CEO.

On Thursday two prominent vendors to the data center industry announced the appointment of new chief executives:
Active Power Names Doug Milner - Active Power (NASDAQ: ACPW) named Doug Milner as president and chief executive officer. Milner will assume the CEO post on March 1, succeeding interim president and CEO Jan Lindelow, who will serve as an advisor to Milner during this transition. "Active Power is a leader in the continuous power and infrastructure markets with dedicated people, highly differentiated products and solutions, and a rich patent portfolio in place," said Milner. "I look forward to working with our teams worldwide to build on past successes, but also identify ways we can improve execution and financial performance that ultimately leads to creation of value for our shareholders." Milner has nearly 30 years of experience in developing and leading both private and public companies. Milner most recently served as chief operating officer at Aquilex Corporation, a global provider of critical maintenance, repair, and industrial cleaning solutions to the energy services sector. SGI Names Jorge Luis Titinger - Technical computing specialist SGI announced the appointment of Jorge Luis Titinger as SGI's president and chief executive officer and a member of the Board of Directors. Titinger, who replaces Ronald Verdoorn, SGI's chairman of the board, brings more than 25 years of industry experience to his new role having previously served as CEO of Verigy Ltd. Prior to Verigy, Titinger served as senior vice president of FormFactor, Inc.'s Product Business Groups. Earlier in his career, Mr. Titinger was vice president of Global Operations within business and product divisions at Applied Materials. He also served in vice president and director positions at leading technology organizations including Hewlett-Packard. Late last year the company announced that former President and CEO Mark Barrenechea would take a new post as the chief executive of Open Text, prompting Verdoorn's appointment. Press release.
