The Planet says it has successfully restored power to the first floor of its Houston data center, and is gradually bringing affected customer servers back online. About 500 servers are being migrated to other data centers operated by The Planet, while the 2,500 servers remaining on the first floor of the damaged H1 Houston data center are being checked by staff and restored in batches.
"At this time both phases in the H1 datacenter continue to have power," The Planet said on its service update page. "Servers in phase one are still being brought online and tested in batches. So far the new generator has performed well and there have been no further problems with power."
Staff said some servers in Phase I will need to be power cycled, and some may need to be evaluated for physical problems. "Reboot requests are still running behind at an approximate 4 hours wait time," the company said.
