Italian web host Aruba was offline this morning when a data center lost power after a fire broke out in one of the UPS rooms. The company said the incident "involved the batteries of the UPS' but that no servers were affected in the data halls. Tracking by Netcraft shows Aruba's primary web site is now back online after an outage. The company says it has restored power to two of the three server rooms in its data center and is working to bring its UPS systems back online.

Aruba is the largest web host in Italy. The company says it hosts 1.2 million web sites and 1.6 million domains. The company says its data center in Arezzo houses approximately 12,000 servers.
