Equinix: SEC Options Inquiry Ends

The SEC has notified Equinix that its investigation of the company's stock option practices has ended, and no enforcement action was recommended.

Equinix (EQIX) said today that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has formally notified the company that its investigation of Equinix's stock option practices has ended, and no enforcement action was recommended. Equinix announced in June that it had received an informal inquiry from the SEC about to its stock option practices. An internal review found that the dates on some options differed from their recorded grant dates, and Equinix said in August that it would book additional stock-option expenses.
