Bloomberg infrastructure moves into Equinix New York and London centers, Joyent cloud at SuperNAP powers Panvidea, CSC to operate in Interxion Vienna facility.

Here’s a roundup of this week’s headlines from the data center and hosting industry:
Equinix and Bloomberg partner. Bloomberg will house infrastructure for its data services and Bloomberg Tradebook in Equinix's New York and London data centers as part of a strategic partnership between the companies. The agreement will give mutual customers easy access to Bloomberg's real time data, B-PIPE and Event Driven Trading feeds as well as the ability to connect to Bloomberg Tradebook in New York, a global agency broker. “Together, Equinix and Bloomberg deliver a solution that addresses the growing need among global financial markets to securely connect to multiple partners simultaneously,” said John Knuff, general manager, Global Financial Services at Equinix (EQIX). “Bloomberg’s offerings leverage our global reach in key financial markets, further extending the value of the Equinix financial services ecosystem.”
Joyent and SuperNAP power Panvidea. Panvidea, a technology-enabled digital media company has announced that it has selected Joyent's Smart Technology infrastructure to serve as the underlying computing architecture for their instantly scalable professional video service. The technology supporting Panvidea services will be Joyent SmartMachines, hosted on the SwitchCloud I.C.E. (U.S. Inter-Cloud Exchange) at the Switch SuperNAP. “We selected Joyent because they are the only cloud infrastructure company that has built a complete technology stack from the ground up to support a major public cloud solution,” said Panvidea co-founder and CEO, Chris Cali. “Their innovative technology will allow us to offer our customers significantly improved video processing performance, scalability and reliability, along with the rock solid security and fiber channel connectivity provided by our partners at Switch.”
Interxion selected by CSC. Interxion announced that CSC, the world's third-largest IT outsourcing specialist, has selected its Austrian facility to support CSC's Managed Services operations. Driven by an increase in customer demand CSC will provide a secure, scalable, standards-based solution from Interxion's VIE1 Vienna facility. “In Interxion we found an independent, well-certified partner whose core business is the operation of data centres," said Andreas Keisler, Head of Managed Services, Austria and Eastern Europe. "At CSC, our overriding focus is on providing professional services to customers, so we need suppliers that will offer matching levels of high-quality support now and in the future."
