There were a number of new announcements emerging from the AFCOM Data Center World conference this week in Orlando. Here's a roundup:
OSIsoft and nlyte Software Partner on DCIM - nlyte Software, the leading independent provider of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) solutions, and OSIsoft, provider of the PI System, the industry standard for the management of real-time data and events, today announced a strategic partnership and integrated offering. OSIsoft and nlyte Software customers gain the ability to visualize, report and act on real-time information delivering predictive intelligence and management control across the data center. The combined solution takes data from OSIsoft’s PI System real-time infrastructure and directly populates the nlyte performance management database (PMDB) to facilitate "precision DCIM." Accomplished through technical integration, as well as through coordinated marketing, sales and services activities; the integrated offering is available immediately.
Geist Debuts RackNet Software - Geist debuted its new software solution called Racknet at AFCOM this week. Racknet provides a single point of access for monitoring multiple aspects of a data center infrastructure, including temperature, humidity, power, and more. With the ability to auto-discover SNMP devices, Racknet decreases set-up time by auto-populating monitored devices. Racknet’s intuitive interface allows for easy drag and drop configurations that let users customize their system by inserting their own floor plans and logos.
ALGAE-X STS 7000 Series Premieres- ALGAE-X International (AXI) used the Data Center World expo to introduce its STS-7000 Series Programmable Automated Fuel Filtration Systems with a touch screen programmable logic controller and remote monitoring.The New STS-7000 Series is equipped with a Touch Screen Controller for more intuitive system setup and monitoring from remote locations. AXI’s Systems preserve the integrity of stored fuel.
