  • IBM Expands Cloud Offerings for Development and Testing - IBM today expanded its Smart Business Development & Test on the IBM Cloud with support for Windows and new enhancements for teams of developers. IBM is also introducing an integrated development and test environment and new software and services to allow developers to improve quality and speed across the application life cycle. Announced earlier this year, the IBM Smart Business Development & Test on the IBM Cloud allows enterprise clients to expand and enhance internal development and test processes with instant access to resources through IBM's secure, scalable cloud delivery model. The multi-tenant open cloud now includes support for Microsoft Windows 2003 and 2008 Data Center Editions.

  • Mezeo Announces VISI Cloud Storage Solution - Mezeo Software, which provides a cloud storage platform for enterprises and service providers, today announced VISI as a Mezeo Premier Hosting Partner. VISI is Minnesota’s premier cloud computing, data center services and managed hosting provider. The VISI Cloud Storage solution is enabled by the Mezeo Cloud Storage Platform, a multi-tenant software-only cloud storage solution with Web Services APIs that enable customization and full interoperability with other platforms. Mezeo enables trusted service providers like VISI to provide their own hosted and branded cloud storage offerings to their end users.Press release.

  • QTS, Cross Country Home Services Ink Colo Deal - QTS (Quality Technology Services) has been chosen by Cross Country Home Services, Inc., a leading provider of home warranty services, for colocation space to house its primary production environment. Terms of the multi-year agreement were not disclosed. QTS provides Cross Country Home Services with redundant colocation space with a "2N" uninterruptible power system (UPS) configuration that draws power from two completely separate UPS units, ensuring greater reliability and up-time.   • ComRent and Rx Monitoring Introduce Cx Monitor - ComRent International, LLC, the global leader in load bank rentals and services, has partnered with Rx Monitoring Services, Inc. to offer the data center industry the Cx Monitor, and most advanced power quality monitoring and reporting system. Available to data centers exclusively through ComRent, the Cx Monitor gathers voltage and current data required for commissioning tests and collects temperature and humidity data for up to 100 locations. Rx Monitoring Services, a leader in medical imaging commissioning, engineered the Cx Monitor specifically for the data industry through in-depth end-user research done in partnership with ComRent that showed a need for a single-monitor solution for voltage logging, high frequency transient monitoring and environmental conditions. The research also identified a need for timely data acquisition, which led to the development of the Cx Monitor’s proprietary software that enables viewing of real-time data and post-processing data.
