GNAX Upgrades to Tier 4 Electrical Infrastructure - Colocation provider GNAX (Global Net Access) says it recently completed an upgrade to a Tier 4 electrical infrastructure at its AtlantaNAP data center in Atlanta, GA. Now all GNAX colocation, dedicated server, managed hosting and cloud services customers can receive 100% uptime service level guarantees. The Tier 4 infrastructure provides four layers of redundancy from independent power sources.
ABB Invests in Power Assure - Power Assure, a supplier of Dynamic Data Center Optimization software, today announced that ABB has invested $1.5 million in the company, joining Good Energies, Point Judith Capital, and Draper Fisher Jurvetson as investors in Power Assure. The investment was made through ABB’s venture capital arm, ABB Technology Ventures, and brings total funds raised by Power Assure to $20.25 million, which includes $5 million from the Department of Energy to further the development and adoption of Power Assure’s power optimization software in commercial and government data centers.
