Latisys selects HP CloudSystem, Interxion (INXN) and TMX Atrium collaborate, CoreSite Realty (COR)completes SSAE 16 at 14 data centers.

Here’s our review of some of this week’s noteworthy links for the data center industry:
Latisys selects HP CloudSystem. HP announced that outsourced IT infrastructure solutions provider and HP CloudAgile partner Latisys has selected HP CloudSystem to support its managed hosting and cloud service offerings. To meet a growing demand for its on-demand infrastructure Latisys evaluated options and selected HP CloudSystem for a complete, open platform for building and managing cloud services that provides integrated software, servers, storage and networking. "The pace of business today is staggering. CIOs are challenged to do more with less and faster than ever before. As a service provider and host, we are seeing more organizations looking to take advantage of cloud to quickly and easily deploy the applications that drive growth,” said Christian Teeft, vice president, Engineering, Latisys. “HP CloudSystem has enabled Latisys to meet customer demands for self-service computing while still delivering enterprise-grade performance and massive scale, helping to truly set Latisys apart.”
Interxion and TMX Atrium collaborate. Interxion (INXN) announced its collaboration with TMX Atrium to deliver unrivalled Canadian market data feeds to their respective financial services communities. TMX Atrium has established a number of points of presence at Interxion facilities across Europe to offer the electronic trading community ultra-low latency connectivity to global liquidity venues. “Access to markets outside Europe, such as the Canadian markets, is increasingly important for our customers in the financial services industry in London, as well as continental Europe," said Kevin Dean, CMO of Interxion. "It is critical that leading providers of financial networks such as TMX Atrium offer their services from our data centres. The TMX Atrium and Interxion collaboration provides low latency access to the full range of asset classes including FX where we are seeing significant and growing demand.”
CoreSite completes SSAE 16 at 14 data centers. CoreSite Realty (COR) announced the company has completed Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 16 Type 2 examinations covering 14 operational data centers. Conducted over a twelve month period the completion of this examination provides CoreSite data center customers with assurance of corporate controls and validation of CoreSite's commitment to stringent standards of operational excellence. "We are very proud to have completed the SSAE 16 examinations at all of the CoreSite facilities," said Dominic Tobin, Senior Vice President of Operations at CoreSite. "Our data centers are home to the vital data and infrastructure of more than 750 customers, many of whom maintain extremely rigorous compliance mandates. We are pleased to provide validation and confirmation of our operational excellence and security controls."
XO provides network to Cobalt Data Centers. XO Communications announced that it has been selected to provide high-speed network services to Cobalt Data Centers, a leading Nevada-based independent data center operator. XO will provide gigabit Ethernet services over diverse fiber paths to the new Cobalt Cheyenne Data Center that is being constructed in Las Vegas. “XO Communications has worked very closely with Cobalt Data Centers to develop a scalable solution that will address the needs of Cobalt tenants both today and into the future,” said Jim Ferguson, vice president of sales for the West Region at XO Communications. “With a direct fiber connection from Cobalt Cheyenne to our nationwide fiber optic network, we are able to provide another major route for Internet traffic into and out of Las Vegas for businesses’ IP connectivity needs.”
