Interxion Announces Resignation of Anthony Foy - Interxion, a European provider of carrier-neutral colocation data centre services, today announced that Group Managing Director Anthony Foy has decided to resign from Interxion, effective June 24. Foy will work with the company through the end of August to facilitate an orderly transition. "We appreciate Anthony’s dedication and contribution to the success of the company and wish him well in his future endeavours," said David Ruberg, CEO and President of Interxion.
DBSi Opens Pennsylvania Data Center - Data Based Systems International, Inc. (DBSi) has opened its third data center outside of Breinigsville, Pa. DBSi is a leading provider of managed hosting services, high-end colocation, and workspace recovery in the Mid-Atlantic region. Its newest Hosting and Recovery Advanced Technology Center at TEKPark is an impressive 220,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility with over 100,000 square feet available for data center expansion. The data center is being commissioned in four phases with approximately 50 percent of TEKPark's first phase already under contract by several major healthcare and manufacturing clients.
Simplex Introduces Fire-Rated Vinly Curtains (PDF) - Simplex, a leading manufacturer of enclosures and containment systems for hot aisle/cold aisle isolation in data centers, has released FlexSim, the first domestically produced clear flexible curtain vinyl to meet the stringent ASTM E-84 Class 1 rating for flame and smoke generation. FlexSim also meets or exceeds requirements for NFPA-701 and UL Title 19 for compliance with the California Fire Marshal. There are two variations of the vinyl. FlexSim FR is the fire-rated version for standard applications, and FlexSim FR AS has built-in anti-static inhibitors for applications in which electro-static discharge is a concern.
